Translation EKV Project
Information on how to join the group project for translating some of the EKV's songs into English. We are inviting linguists, slavists, and enthusiasts to contribute, and enrich the world treasury of postmodern poetry. Here you may find poems in original language.

Cover text on album 'DUM DUM'
Next to EKV's last album, DUM DUM was dark, pessimistic vision of new times in 90s; , published in the peak of their popularity, the cover text gives fine and thorow review of their major works throughout the past decade.

Before EKV: Sarlo Akrobata
Guitar player and singer Milan Mladenovic and drummer Ivan Vdovic had played as Sarlo Akrobata before forming Ekatarina II. Sarlo was a true acrobat, one of the greatest alternative bands, pioneering in Eastern Europe at the turn of the 80's.

The Festival of Unknown Days
A poem was written by the author of EKV Web in 1994. On the same day the work was completed, Milan died of cancer. The Festival... was partially inspired by the thoughts and impressions from EKV's music and lyrics over the years. It was dedicated to Milan and to the times when he wrote and sang that many still cherish so much...

  • The Book of Songs: EKV
    Predrag Stojkov has put together the first complete World Wide Web collection of New Yugoslav Music (in serbo-croatian). It is a very thorow library of songs, groups and musical genres from former and current Yugoslavia. Among them there is a first database with EKV lyrics and projects. (YU New Wave)

Those who are interested in playing some of EKV songs on guitar will find Music on the Fly extremely useful (check their site for many other groups). Sooner or later, those songs will be remixed and performed again...
